Aisling Ennis - harp

Aisling, affectionately known as 'the goony one' in Affinití admits that she was a hyper child. Something had to be done. So, her mother in her infinite wisdom, rented a harp. The quietest of the instruments. So angelic. At the age of 6, Aisling took to the harp like any little angel would, and she made quite a name for herself winning many national awards and studying at the Royal Irish Academy of Music on continuous scholarship for over ten years. But as she got bigger, the harp got louder, and bolder, and well louder…

Aisling went on to study her craft at Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Royal Academy of Music in London. She is widely regarded as a concert harpist and has performed with top UK ensembles including the Hallé, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Opera North, as well as RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra, Irish Chamber Orchestra, Camerata Ireland to name just a few.

Her concert performances are extensive and varied, ranging form solo concerto performances to appearances on stage with artists including Kanye West, Sinead O’Connor and Bill Bailey. She has performed throughout Ireland, UK, Europe, USA and Asia as a solo, chamber and orchestral musician.

But her favourite past time is annoying Emer and Mary with mad capped ideas for new riffs…
